Lack of dental care which leads to plaque formation is the actual cause for you to suffer from gum diseases. Plaque is a film of bacteria which gets accumulated in your teeth. Generally plaque is not harmful but in most cases it will cause damage beyond control. This is the reason why we always suggest to follow proper dental hygiene.

If not on teeth then definitely on your lungs. As far as teeth are concerned, the nicotine from cigarettes gets accumulated in your teeth and will cause them to stain. Well the answer is simple!! Your gums will deteriorate and you might have to undergo tooth extraction. You wont feel pain but the condition will worsen with every passing day. You gums might become sore as well. This can lead to gum abscesses, and pus may ooze from around the teeth. Over a number of years, the bone supporting the teeth can be lost. If the disease is left untreated for a long time, treatment can be more difficult.

Visit you nearest dentist for a thorough check-up of your teeth and gums. They will measure the ‘cuff’ of gum around each tooth to see if there is any sign that periodontal disease has started. You will have to undergo X-rays to see the amount of bone that has been lost. It is highly important to undergo this assessment, so that the correct treatment can be prescribed for you.
7. What will be treatment procedure?
The team will remove plaque and tartar from your teeth. Apart from that thorough cleaning will be done. It will take a long time for the entire procedure to be completed. You need to ensure that you will follow proper oral care hygiene at your home. Make sure to brush and floss daily.
