Know the types of Gum Diseases and their Cure

It has always been recommended to keep your mouth healthy because a healthy mouth is the first and foremost step towards a healthy body. A healthy mouth ensures that your gums are plaque free and you have fresh breath. Not only this, it will also ensure that your body is not prone to systematic diseases such as Heart Attack, Diabetes and Respiratory Problem.

There are two types of gum diseases and these are very common among us – Gingivitis and Periodontal Gum Problem. So come let us discuss about these two common problems and how we can cure them.

a. Gingivitis: This is one of the most common problem with the human body after Asthma. However the fact is that this is the milder form of Periodontal Disease. You need to check these signs for Gum Disease:

  1. Red and Sore Gums
  2. Bleeding or Swollen gums.
  3. Loose teeth
  4. Constant Bad Breath

The only reason why people suffer from this problem is because we do not follow proper dental hygiene. But if it is detected at the right time and dealt by a professional then the cure is possible. But it’s always better to follow the famous saying “Precaution is better than cure”. So you need to ensure that you follow dental hygiene by brushing twice in a day and flossing at least once.

b. Periodontal Gum Disease: If you think that Gingivitis can be left un-treated then you need to think again. If this disease is not taken care and not cured at the right time it will turn into a more severe form of problem called as Periodontal Disease. The more time you give to Gingivitis the more plaque will form and the more problem will be for your gums. The reason is that the plaque contains bacteria which carry acids with them. These acids have the tendency to irritate our gums causing a chronic inflammatory simulation where in the tissues and the bones that support the teeth starts to break down and eventually gets destroyed.

But this is just not the only form of periodontal disease. Periodontal Disease comes in various forms such as:

  1. Aggressive Periodontitis.
  2. Chronic Periodontitis.
  3. Periodontitis as a manifestation of systemic diseases
  4. Necrotizing periodontal disease

We need to understand that there is no end to the issues human body faces but then still we need to understand one basic thing PRECAUTION. With regular brushing and proper dental hygiene we can surely achieve a healthy mouth.
